With 14 years of dedicated experience as a loan originator and a remarkable 36 years in the industry, Dawn Gurka brings unparalleled expertise and passion to help her clients achieve their homeownership dreams.

For Dawn, the mortgage industry presented a career opportunity when she was a single mom, providing stability and a path to success. Her love for what she does stems from the joy it brings to customers, witnessing their pride and excitement as they step into their very own homes – a true embodiment of the American Dream.

Working within a close-knit community, Dawn has had the pleasure of meeting diverse and interesting people, forming lasting connections. She takes pride in providing specialized services for VA loans, Down Payment Assistance programs, and Refinancing, always catering to each client's unique needs.

Dawn's approach to working with clients is simple yet profound: treat them with the same care and attention she'd want herself, making them feel that this is a time to celebrate because they truly matter. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in the mortgage industry is a priority for Dawn. Constantly reading industry news and guideline updates allows her to offer the most relevant and beneficial solutions to her clients. We were behind the Build after the housing crash beginning in 2006. As of 2022 We’ve made much progress in Marion County and the surrounding Counties adding new housing in our communities. That being said, we now see the amount of Re-sale consistently growing. When rates come down the market will be taking off once more.

Dawn's unique qualifications lie in her extensive 36+ years of experience in the lending industry, adapting to the evolving needs of borrowers and helping them find a place they can truly call their own. Regarding the current housing market, Dawn sees familiar patterns in market cycles past, but notes the inventory has been challenging to her clients. “I still remain optimistic- our community is experiencing growth, and I’m seeing new construction underway to meet the demand”.

Community involvement is essential to Dawn, and she contributes by teaching classes to new agents and first-time homeowners. The path to homeownership isn’t always easy, and her dedication extends to helping others become ready for homeownership.

When Dawn is not helping her clients, she finds solace in nature, enjoying fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, boating and loving on her dogs.  Married for 27 years, Dawn cherishes her family and her faith deeply, with four grown children and three grandchildren.

Her personal experiences have taught her the true value of stability and the pride that comes from having a place to call your own.
